Privacy Policy

PoseMate (“we”, “us”, “our”) helps you plan and capture better photos with pose ideas, tips, and on-device camera tools. This Privacy Policy explains what information the app collects, how it is used, and the choices you have. By using PoseMate you agree to this policy.

1. Information We Collect

• Photos you capture: taken with your device camera when you use the in-app camera. These are stored on your device / system gallery.
• App preferences: theme, camera settings (e.g. celebration popup), and saved poses / plans, stored locally on your device.
• Analytics & diagnostics (if enabled): aggregated usage events and crash reports via Firebase Analytics / Crashlytics to help us fix bugs and improve the app.
• Advertising data: device identifiers and ad interactions processed by Google AdMob to serve and measure ads. We do not collect your name, email, or precise location.

2. How We Use Information

We use the information to operate the app, remember your preferences, understand which features are used, diagnose crashes, and show ads that keep the free version available. We do not sell your personal information.

3. Camera & Photo Storage

Camera access is used only to preview, capture, and save photos you explicitly take. Your photos stay on your device unless you share them yourself (e.g. via the system share sheet or gallery). Uninstalling the app removes locally stored app data, subject to your device backup settings.

4. Advertising

The free version of PoseMate shows ads provided by Google AdMob. AdMob may use device identifiers and contextual information to serve personalized or non-personalized ads. In regions where consent is required (e.g. EEA / UK under GDPR), you can review or change your choices anytime via Settings → Privacy → Privacy Options. Purchasing Premium removes ads.

5. Analytics & Crash Reporting

With your consent (disabled by default), PoseMate uses Firebase Analytics and Crashlytics to collect anonymized usage statistics and crash logs. You can opt in or out anytime via Settings → Privacy → Share Analytics & Crash Reports. Collection stays off until you enable it, and is turned off again on that device if you disable it.

6. Data Retention

Preferences and saved content are kept on your device until you delete them or uninstall the app. Analytics and crash data held by Firebase / Google are retained per their retention policies and in aggregated form.

7. Your Rights

Depending on your region (e.g. GDPR in the EEA/UK, CCPA in California) you may have the right to access, correct, delete, or restrict processing of your data, and to withdraw consent. Because most data lives only on your device, you can exercise many of these rights directly in the app (clear saved items, disable analytics, change ad consent). 8. Children’s Privacy

PoseMate is not directed to children under 13 (or the minimum age in your jurisdiction). We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided data, contact us and we will take appropriate steps.

9. Third-Party Services

The app integrates: Google Play services, Firebase (Analytics, Crashlytics), and Google AdMob (ads + UMP consent). Their processing is governed by their own privacy policies (e.g. Google’s Privacy Policy and Google’s advertising policies).

10. Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy when the app or legal requirements change. Material changes will be reflected by a new “Last updated” date in the app. Continued use after changes take effect means you accept the updated policy.
