Terms of Use

The rules for using PoseMate

Last updated: September 2026

These Terms of Use (“Terms”) form an agreement between you and the PoseMate developer governing your use of the PoseMate mobile app. By installing or using the app you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the app.

1. Description of Service

PoseMate provides pose ideas, photo tips, shooting plans, and camera helpers for personal, non-commercial inspiration and education. Features, pose catalogues, and availability may change over time without notice.

2. License & Acceptable Use

We grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to use the app on devices you own. You agree not to: (a) copy, modify, reverse-engineer, or redistribute the app except as allowed by your app store; (b) misuse the app, interfere with its operation, or attempt unauthorized access; (c) use content from the app to build a competing product or dataset without permission; (d) use the app for unlawful activity or to violate anyone’s rights, including when photographing other people — always get consent.

3. Your Content

Photos you take and plans you create remain yours and are stored on your device. You are responsible for your content, for backing it up, and for having the rights and consent needed to capture, keep, and share it. We claim no ownership over your photos.

4. App Content & Intellectual Property

Pose illustrations, tips text, layouts, and branding in PoseMate are owned by us or our licensors and protected by intellectual-property laws. You may use them for personal reference while shooting, but may not reproduce or publish them outside the app without permission.

5. Premium & Ads

The free version is ad-supported via Google AdMob. A Premium upgrade (where offered) removes ads on that device / account as described at purchase time. Purchases, subscriptions, and refunds are processed by Google Play and subject to Google Play’s terms.

6. Photography Disclaimer

Poses and tips are general creative suggestions, not professional advice. Always prioritize safety, the comfort and consent of your subjects, and local laws when shooting.

7. Third-Party Services

The app relies on third parties (Google Play, Firebase, AdMob). Your use of those services is subject to their terms and policies. We are not responsible for third-party services, devices, or network availability.

8. Disclaimers

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, THE APP IS PROVIDED “AS IS” AND “AS AVAILABLE” WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT. We do not guarantee the app will be uninterrupted, error-free, or meet your expectations.

9. Limitation of Liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, WE WILL NOT BE LIABLE FOR INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR LOSS OF DATA, ARISING FROM YOUR USE OF THE APP, EVEN IF ADVISED OF THE POSSIBILITY. OUR TOTAL LIABILITY FOR ANY CLAIM IS LIMITED TO THE AMOUNT YOU PAID FOR THE APP (IF ANY) IN THE 12 MONTHS BEFORE THE CLAIM.

10. Termination

We may suspend or terminate access if you materially breach these Terms. You may stop using the app at any time by uninstalling it. Sections that by nature should survive (e.g. intellectual property, disclaimers, liability limits) survive termination.

11. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms to reflect app or legal changes. Continued use after the updated Terms take effect constitutes acceptance. If you disagree, stop using and uninstall the app.

12. Contact & Governing Law

For questions about these Terms, reach us via the support details on the Play Store listing. These Terms are governed by the laws of your place of residence, except where mandatory consumer-protection law provides otherwise.
